I view children as tenacious, hopeful human beings who are unafraid to imagine freely, play pretend, and make wishes. Children have their own language several individuals are unable to understand. Tiny humans have a voice but need empowerment to be heard as they also face daily challenges.

Children utilize play as their own language of communication. Through a tailored play therapy approach, children express their emotions, process trauma, and develop coping skills.

I strive to create a safe, supportive environment, use play-based approaches, and guide children’s exploration in ways that foster confidence and cultivate a strong self of self-efficacy.

I currently work full-time doing assessments, completing referrals, and supervising juveniles in a neighboring county. While advancing my education as an Indiana University graduate student, I completed practicums at Tippecanoe County Community Corrections New Leaf Wellness Center and Calla Collaborative Health. Prior to becoming a probation officer, I worked as a Padre Estrella (Star Parent) helping students and families navigate 21st Century Scholars enrollment and Workforce Ready Grants.

I love weight lifting and exploring the world getting to see everything I don’t see on a daily.
