Taking the first step toward counseling can be daunting and requires great courage. Many people fear judgment, the uncertainty of the process, or the vulnerability that comes with opening up. Breaking the stigma surrounding mental health can feel overwhelming, but seeking support is a powerful step toward healing, growth, and self- awareness.

Mental health is a lifelong journey, and building emotional resilience is essential at every stage of life. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions without fear. Together, we will set meaningful goals, navigate challenges, and develop practical therapeutic tools to foster positive change.

I take a person-centered approach to therapy, providing an empathetic and nonjudgmental environment where clients can process their experiences at their own pace. This approach is rooted in the belief that everyone has the innate capacity for healing and personal growth when supported in the right way.

In each session, you will be met with unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity, ensuring a space where you feel truly heard, valued, and supported.

Prior to coming to Counseling Simplified, I worked for a local school corporation in an elementary school as their Student Services Coordinator for ten years. I played a key role in supporting student success by identifying needs, coordinating interventions, and building partnerships between school, home, and community. My work focused on ensuring students have the social, emotional, behavioral, and mental well-being necessary to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Prior to working at the elementary school I worked in a local ABA center in which I utilized evidence based procedures to increase helpful behaviors, teach new skills, and decrease harmful, maladaptive, and disruptive behaviors.

Outside of sessions, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two dogs, and our friends and family. I also enjoy crafting, reading, and fun themed 5k walk/runs.
