Some clients may come to therapy carrying doubt before they even sit down. They may wonder whether they’re “doing therapy right” or worry about opening up to someone new. That uncertainty alone can keep people from starting at all.
I believe that showing up is already the hardest and most important step, and I meet my clients where they are. My approach is personable and empathetic, shaped around each client as an individual rather than a checklist. Therapy should feel like a genuine connection and a collaborative process, without judgment for where someone believes they “should” be.
I want my clients to leave our sessions feeling heard, understood, and supported, rather than overwhelmed by the pressure to have it all figured out. By building a real, trusting relationship, I can help them find steady footing and move forward at their own pace.
